Christopher Sandford on I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere

The excellent folks over at I Hear of Sherlock have released a new episode featuring an extended interview with Christopher Sandford, author of The Man Who Would Be Sherlock. Sandford's latest volume (he is a prolific biographer of popular figures including musicians which comes up in the podcast) explores the links between Doyle's literary work and factual criminality. Sandford first became interested in Doyle when researching the history of cricket on the eve of World War One.

I haven't had chance to read Sandford's book but it looks like he has taken an interesting angle to explore Doyle's wider work.
